Mr. S. Ramadorai is the former CEO and Managing Director and has served as the Chairman of Tata Technologies since 2001.
To promote his pioneering vision of the onshore-offshore technology model, Mr. Ramadorai established the Technology Excellence Centers in India, and his contributions to the global technology sector have been recognised through numerous awards. Mr. Ramadorai is also represented on the Board of a number of companies and educational institutes – Tata Industries, Hindustan Unilever Limited, Piramal Healthcare Limited and the MIT Executive Board (EMSAB) to name a few.
In recognition of Ramadorai’s commitment and dedication to the IT industry, in 2006 he was awarded the Padma Bhushan, one of India’s highest civilian honors. In April 2009, he was awarded the CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for his contribution to the Indo-British economic-relations. His academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics from Delhi University (India), a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore (India) and a master’s degree in computer science from the University of California – UCLA (USA). In 1993, Ramadorai attended the Sloan School of Management’s highly acclaimed Senior Executive Development Programme.
Mr. P. P. Kadle was appointed as the Managing Director of Tata Capital Limited in September 2007.
Prior to this tenure with Tata Capital Limited, Mr. Kadle served as Chief Financial Officer of Tata Motors Ltd., having joined the company as Vice President of Finance following a period with Tata-IBM Ltd. as its Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Kadle has gathered wide experience with well-known Indian companies in the fields of management, accountancy, law, finance and treasury.
He is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India and the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. He is involved with various public charitable institutions, one of them is notably as the Board Member and Honorary Treasurer of Child Rights and You (CRY). Mr. Kadle is an Honors Graduate in Commerce and Accountancy from Mumbai University.
Mr. Ramakrishnan was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Tata Motors Ltd. in September 2007, having joined the company in 1980 as a Junior Accounts Officer.
Prior to this appointment, he worked in the Chairman’s Office of the Tata group for more than seven years, following a two year company-wide IT project with responsibilities covering research and development, manufacturing, sourcing, and sales and service. Mr. Ramakrishnan was awarded the CFO of the year by CNBC-TV18 in 2010. He was also named the best performing CFO in the auto and auto ancillary sector. Mr. Ramakrishnan holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce and is a Chartered Accountant and a Cost Accountant.
Mr. Warren Harris has been with Tata Technologies and its predecessor companies for more than 25 years. His roles have evolved from engineer to a number of technical management positions worldwide.
Mr. Harris holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree (Honours), earned in 1986 from the University of Wales Institute of Science and Technology. He is a member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers and is a Chartered Engineer. In October 2011, Mr. Harris graduated from the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Programme. Mr. Rakesh Makhija is currently a Senior Advisor to the SKF Group, where he has held a number of top management positions.
As President Industrial Market, Strategic Industries, Mr. Makhija was responsible for the global operations of the Industrial Business, a position that he held till December 2014. In this role, he was also a member of SKF Group Management and the Executive Committee. Prior to this, Mr. Makhija was President, Asia, with overall responsibility for China and India. He started in this position in 2010 when he also became a member of SKF Group Management.
He has also had the role of Managing Director of SKF India. Under his leadership, SKF India more than tripled its sales and was recognised through numerous industry awards for market leadership, amongst them the prestigious CNBC Business Leader Award for Talent Management in 2007. Prior to joining SKF, Mr. Makhija held a number of senior management positions with Tata Honeywell and Honeywell International, the global industrial and aerospace company. In 1997, he was nominated to the Tata Honeywell Board of Directors and soon after named as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director. In April 2000, he was appointed Country Manager and Managing Director of Honeywell International, with responsibilities for driving the company’s growth in South Asia. Prior to Honeywell, Mr. Makhija worked with Kinetics Technology International BV, a process engineering company in the Netherlands, for more than eight years. Mr. Makhija holds a degree in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi.
Ms. Falguni Nayar has spent over 19 years with Kotak Mahindra Bank with the last six years as Managing Director and CEO of Kotak Investment Bank.
She is currently the founder and CEO of Nykaa.com, an online shopping website for beauty and wellness products that also offers an online magazine, expert advice and virtual makeover tools. She was recognised as the Top Business Woman by Business Today in 2009 and 2011 and received the Top Woman Achiever award in the field of banking from the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industries’ Ladies Organisation. She holds a Bachelor’s of Communications degree from Mumbai University and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
Mr. Patrick McGoldrick was CEO and Managing Director from Tata Technologies’ inception until his retirement in September 2014.
He began his career with the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory where he worked primarily on defense-related projects including the Mirror Fusion Test Facility for which he was the chief computer architect. In 1981, Mr. McGoldrick joined the Tata group and honed his vision of applying technology to help manufacturers create better products, which led to the establishment of Tata Technologies. He has been instrumental in leading the company’s global expansion through the strategic acquisition of INCAT and iKnowledge Solutions (iKS) and the current joint venture with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited. He is also a founding director of Tata Elxsi Ltd. Mr. McGoldrick holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, and he earned a Master of Science Degree in Computer Science from Stanford University in California. He has also completed Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Programme.
