As part of their expansion plan, the customer also has an engineering services company offering engineering consultation on chassis and vehicle dynamics, lightweight design, and overall aerodynamic efficiency.
Growing steadily through a series of new launches, the British automotive company was managing its operations with the help of an older version of ERP. In this backdrop, the customer faced operational challenges due to disconnected functions and reporting mechanisms, lack of digital operations, no access to real-time data and analytics. These factors lead to undesirable quality and performance. To address this pressing issue, the company chose Tata Technologies, a recognized global leader in digital engineering services, to help it align its operational management framework to the latest ERP version.
To keep up with the technological advancements and the evolving digital world, the customer was looking for intelligent enterprise transformation. The automaker needed a future-ready ERP solution, and next-gen technologies embedded into SAP S/4HANA were the solution.
We helped the customer recover from their previous SI partners, while keeping the process seamless and instantaneous. Tata Technologies also extended additional support to the users by establishing Technical Support teams with the introduction of incident management processes. This allowed for a seamless transition to the new ERP S/4 HANA with no disruptions to resume business as usual. The successful launch of the ERP systems was achieved within 6 months.
For faster support and implementation, our HANA Innovation lab offered embedded analytics on S/4HANA, server sizing & private cloud hosting for S/4HANA and tools implementation, including Fiori, SAPUI5, and SAP Cloud Platform. We also re-engineered the client’s business processes by re-reviewing BPML with the respective business representatives and work team managers (WSMs).
Working on a 100% remote resource model, Tata technologies delivered solutions on time while exceeding all quality targets. The customer realized reduction in overall manufacturing costs by 5% and increase in operational efficiency by 10%, backed by on-time delivery.
