The customer was looking to partner with an ESP that not only provided engineering support but also helped the OEM with leading-edge transformational ideas and solutions, allowing them to deliver multiple vehicle programs simultaneously.
The OEM selected Tata Technologies as a preferred ESP for our ability and commitment to support them with qualified and experienced resources, enabling them to meet program and engineering targets. The entire resource remapping exercise with the OEM’s organization enabled them to rationalize their own resources to work on other engineering areas, allowing them to take on innovation opportunities and deliver multiple vehicle programs simultaneously.
This partnership was a deliverable-based engagement where our teams integrated completely with the OEM organizational structure and meeting cadence. We took complete ownership of more work scope – more particularly the exteriors and body in white (BIW) of special vehicles. We formed a special vehicles Center of Excellence for exterior and BIW for more optimized engineering offloads with a goal to enhance operational efficiencies, increase market competitiveness and enhance delivery throughput.
We completed multiple vehicle programs with a dedicated Launch team and continued support via the current vehicle team. So far, three successful program launches have been achieved with seven vehicle programs in the pipeline. From design to test validation to production, Tata Technologies teams demonstrated a high level of engineering ability, integrity, and delivery to support the OEM’s plans and future aspirations.
