Warren Harris has been with Tata Technologies and its predecessor companies for more than 25 years. His roles have evolved from engineer to a number of technical management positions worldwide.
In 1998, Mr. Harris was named CEO of INCAT (acquired by Tata Technologies) and served on its Board of Directors. He managed a worldwide expansion initiative, overseeing a merger that established the company as a major force in the U.S. In 2003, he launched a joint venture in Japan that became the foundation of Tata Technologies’ expansion in the Asia-Pacific region. Mr. Harris also was the driving force behind the 2013 acquisition of Cambric Corp., which solidified Tata Technologies’ position in the industrial machinery engineering services market as well as added an Eastern European delivery centre to the company’s growing global footprint.
Mr. Harris is a recognized authority on global manufacturing. His expertise has been leveraged by media organizations including BusinessWeek, Crain’s Detroit Business, Automotive News, The Detroit Free Press, Gannett News Service and Automotive Engineering International. He also has contributed his insights to the book, “Globality – Competing With Everyone From Everywhere For Everything.”
In addition, he has presented to the National Academy of Sciences, Cambridge University, The centre for Automotive Research, the Society of Automotive Engineers; as well as at international forums hosted by Frost & Sullivan, and McKinsey & Company.
Mr. Harris holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree (Honors), earned in 1986 from the University of Wales Institute of Science and Technology. He is a member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers and is a Chartered Engineer. In October 2011, Mr. Harris graduated from the Harvard Business School Advanced Management program. In 2013, Mr. Harris was appointed to the Board of Overseers of the Malcom Baldrige National Quality Award. Mr. Harris is Chairman of the North America Tata Network Forum, a platform for dialogue between the leaders of Tata Group’s North American businesses.
Richard Welford draws on more than 25 years of experience in the automotive and engineering services field in his role as Chief Development Officer. He is responsible for all marketing activities and corporate strategy globally.
Most recently, Mr. Welford has led the growth of the Jaguar Land Rover account, developing the business from around $0.5M to a Strategic Business Unit now worth $100M per annum. Mr. Welford joined Tata Technologies (at the time INCAT) in January 2005 to help the UK organization focus on establishing a presence in the automotive sector before taking a wider European role. Before joining Tata Technologies, he occupied a number of Product and Project Engineering roles with Jaguar Cars, as well as holding Senior and Executive Engineering leadership roles with Autoliv, the number one automotive vehicle safety supplier. While at Autoliv, he culminated his time there as Director of Research & Development for Autoliv North America, and helped Autoliv undergo a significant global engineering transformation program. Mr. Welford has worked with many of the most prestigious names in the automotive industry across Europe, North America and Asia.
Mr. Welford started his career as an apprentice with Jaguar cars before being identified by Jaguar to take up a full-time sponsored student path to study Mechanical Engineering. He completed his Mechanical Engineering degree at Coventry University.
Mr. Welford is currently a member of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) West Midlands Council (September 2012).
Anubhav Kapoor is Tata Technologies’ General Counsel and Company Secretary and is based out of Pune, India. He is responsible for Tata Technologies’ global legal, IP, regulatory compliance and corporate governance practices and policies. Mr. Kapoor has more than 20 years of experience. Before joining Tata Technologies he worked at Polaris Software, Domino’s Pizza, and Allied Nippon, to name a few.
Mr. Kapoor’s diverse areas of practice include structuring strategic business contracts, intellectual property rights (IPR), global compliance design and audits, legal due diligence, mergers and acquisitions, and arbitration and litigation management. As corporate secretary he has also dealt with high visibility boards and handled complex matters including those related to corporate governance, sustainability, insider trading, and private and public offerings. He is passionate about innovation and IPR and also heads the Company’s Corporate Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility practices globally.
Mr. Kapoor is a member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and a Law Graduate from CCS University in India. He holds a Master of Law degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and a Master of Business Administration degree in finance and information technology from Institute of Management Technology.
Venkat Saranu was named Chief Financial Officer in 2014 after more than seven years with Tata Technologies working in various corporate finance roles. As CFO, Mr. Saranu is responsible for financial planning, capital raising, corporate restructuring, treasury, taxation and the company’s overall financial performance. Mr. Saranu holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Nagarjuna University and is a rank holder from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Mr. Saranu has 20 years of experience in the field of accounts, tax and finance.
During his journey so far with Tata Technologies, Mr. Saranu has handled areas related to accounts, audits, taxation, mergers and acquisitions, operations, fund management, purchasing and administration. Mr. Saranu previously worked with KPMG India in a senior-level position and as a senior partner in a Chartered Accountant firm based in Mumbai.
As Chief Transformation Officer, Paul Tanner is responsible for a number of business-critical functions including strategy deployment, quality assurance, post-M&A integration, special strategic projects, and the Tata Business Excellence Model (TBEM), a Tata-specific derivative of the popular Baldrige Performance Excellence Program.
Mr. Tanner began his professional career with GE in 1996 in its Global Consumer Finance division. In 1998, he joined Prudential as it was setting up the UK’s first Internet Bank, and spent the next five years working in corporate governance roles, completing Six Sigma Black Belt training during the same period. From 2003 to 2011, he served in a number of business improvement and assurance roles at Tata Steel International (formerly Corus Group plc). Most recently he was Regional Head of Tata Business Excellence Group in the UK and Europe, supporting the Business Excellence journeys of Tata companies in the region, including Jaguar Land Rover and Tata Steel. From 2013 to 2014 Mr. Tanner was the convenor of the Tata Network Forum (Europe) and was also a member of the core team which refreshed the Tata Code of Conduct in 2015.
Mr. Tanner holds a bachelor’s degree in law and criminology from the University of Sheffield.
Samir Yajnik is Tata Technologies President of Global Services and Chief Operating Officer – Asia-Pacific. With a career spanning several engineering and sales leadership roles in diverse markets globally, Mr. Yajnik provides an uncommon blend of deep technical knowledge and sharp business acumen.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Yajnik served as the President of Global Services and Chief Operating Officer for INCAT (acquired by Tata Technologies) Asia-Pacific. In addition to this, Mr. Yajnik spent more than 10 years as Vice President of the Tata Technologies Engineering Automation Group in Singapore and London.
Mr. Yajnik holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, as well as a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Mississippi where he was awarded an assistantship and fellowship. He completed corporate finance courses at the London Business School and has had three white papers on heat transfer published by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) in the U.S.
As a dedicated engineering advocate, he also serves as an adviser to the Engineering Service Outsourcing subgroup of the National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM).
Nick Sale is Tata Technologies Sales President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) – Europe. He was appointed to his position in 2014, and has been with the organization for more than 15 years.
Previously, Mr. Sale served in a number of critical roles for the company including UK Services Manager, EU PLM Services Manager, European Delivery Head, and Global Delivery Practice Head. In addition, he served two years as North American Consulting Manager at the company’s North American headquarters office in metro Detroit.
Mr. Sale holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Bath University, where he earned first-class honors, and graduated as top student.
Ms. Ramrakhiani is responsible for the territory’s P&L and leads all Sales, Marketing, IT, HR and Administrative personnel. She brings more than 17 years of business and management experience to her role.
Prior to Tata Technologies, she held a number of key leadership roles for IT outsourcing major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). At TCS, she managed high-end accounts across various verticals including manufacturing, energy and banking, to name a few. Ms. Ramrakhiani has also worked for Tata Teleservices and watch and jewelry maker Titan Industries.
Ms. Ramrakhiani is part of TAS (formerly Tata Administrative Services), the Tata group’s flagship leadership program. She’s also a senior Tata Business Excellence Model (TBEM) assessor, and has led a number of assessments of Tata companies. Adapted from the renowned Malcolm Baldrige model, TBEM encourages continuous improvements through a formal benchmarking and assessment system of key business aspects from strategy and leadership to safety and climate change.
Ms. Ramrakhiani holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management. Her areas of expertise include Customer Experience Management, both in the B2B and B2C context.
As President of Asia-Pacific Sales, Anand Bhade is responsible for all sales and business development activities for global services and technology solutions in the region. Mr. Bhade draws on more than 24 years of experience in the engineering and IT services field managing executive relationships with key customers in India, Europe and North America.
Mr. Bhade joined Tata Technologies in 1997 as one of the first few hundred employees to work for the company. Past roles include Director of Global Delivery at INCAT (acquired by Tata Technologies), Vice President of Strategic Business and Operations – North America and a number of sales and operational leadership positions worldwide.
As Head of Global Offshore Business, Mr. Bhade led a successful initiative to accelerate offshore revenue growth and designed a process called the Tata Value Innovation Framework, an engineering approach that ensures low cost for product innovation and launch. Mr. Bhade has also been a keynote speaker on the topic at various academic institutions
Mr. Bhade holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Pune and an MBA from Oakland University, Michigan with specialization in international business.
Steve Haywood is Tata Technologies’ Executive Vice President of Global Engineering, Research & Development (ER&D). He is responsible for delivering complete vehicle programs from concept design to full series production, supply chain optimization and value management. Mr. Haywood's career spans over 30 years in the premium automotive sector.
Mr. Haywood has a proven track record for managing multibillion pound turnover programs on a global basis, leading the delivery of complex vehicle projects from concept to market. Mr. Haywood has extensive global knowledge of the automotive industry and has worked with companies such as BMW, Ford Motor Company, Jaguar Land Rover, Lotus, Proton and Tata Motors as well as international consultancies and major global OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers. Mr. Haywood has also gained global knowledge through collaborative work and overseas working experience with Japanese, German and North American OEMs.
Mr. Haywood holds a Bachelor’s degree in Combined Engineering from Coventry University and is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers.
Pawan Kumar Bhageria is President – Tata Motors Group Strategic Business Unit. He is responsible for business growth in engineering, PLM and IT services within Tata Motors and its subsidiaries in the Asia-Pacific region. Mr. Bhageria brings more than 30 years experience in the automotive, manufacturing and IT industries, where he led business transformation programs, business development and sales.
Mr. Bhageria has held senior leadership positions in global OEMs and Tier 1 companies in India and abroad.
Mr. Bhageria rejoined Tata Technologies in 2012 as Senior Vice President Manufacturing and IT, and was responsible for business development in Asia Pacific. Before joining Tata Technologies, Mr. Bhageria served as IT director at General Motors International Operations where he was responsible for IT strategies, business transformation programs and IT for new plant launches in the Asia-Pacific region.
Mr. Bhageria received a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering-Gold Medalist from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, India and a MBA in Finance and Systems from XLRI, Jamshedpur, India.
As Chief Information Officer, Mohit Bhishikar’s portfolio includes driving innovation, operational excellence and cross-functional collaboration through IT and ensuring information security across the enterprise. He brings to the role more than 25 years of international experience with global IT companies.
Prior to joining Tata Technologies, Mr. Bhishikar served as CIO and Senior Vice President at Persistent Systems, where he was credited with transforming the global footprint of Persistent’s IT capabilities and deploying solutions for mobility, analytics and cloud strategy. Before Persistent, he worked in a number of senior management roles for Cisco Systems.
Mr. Bhishikar is a member of the India Executive Councils of Symantec and Trend Micro and several industry groups such as CIO Association of India, Data Security Council of India and Nasscom. He is a TEDx speaker and is actively involved in the conference circuit. He also spends time at the University of Pune guiding MBA and Computer Science students. He has won several awards such as IDG’s Top 100 CIOs for four years, Information Week EDGE, CSI’s Excellence in IT, Data Quest Live, IDC Icon and Most Influential CIO/CTO of India, to name a few.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from University of Pune.
Anupal Banerjee brings more than 18 years of experience to his role as Tata Technologies’ Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).
As CHRO, Mr. Banerjee leads the company’s human resources strategy and worldwide HR activities in support of the overall business, with particular focus on organizational design and effectiveness, total rewards, learning and organizational development, talent management and acquisition and technology-led HR processes and analytics.
Prior to joining Tata Technologies, Mr. Banerjee was the Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Viacom18 Media. He also has held leadership roles at global technology and professional services firms Capgemini, WNS and Infosys. Earlier, he worked with automotive manufacturer Ashok Leyland Ltd. Throughout his distinguished career, Mr. Banerjee’s embrace of lean operating principles and smart organizational alignment strategies has helped him improve people performance and productivity and drive employee engagement.
Mr. Banerjee has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and also completed the Advanced Human Resource Executive Program at University of Michigan – Stephen M. Ross School of Business.
