The BMW Group has entered into an agreement with Tata Technologies to set up a joint venture in India to work on software for cars. It is planned to open an IT development center in India in Bangalore and Pune. A separate facility in Chennai will provide IT solutions for businesses. At the initial stage, the joint venture will employ 100 people, but within a few years the staff will grow to more than 1,000 employees.
