The objective of Leaf Spring Suspension Design Module is to aid the suspension designer to design leaf spring suspension for LCVs and trucks. This application is currently under Beta Test at one of our customer design locations. Application currently focuses on designing constant and variable rate (both multistage and with auxiliary type) leaf springs with detailed calculations of stresses, mass and fatigue life and creating three levels of geometry representation (simple to complete) of each satisfactory design at run time.
It is expected that this methodology will eliminate expensive iterations during the design and produce multiple choices conforming to the given functional requirements.
