Tata Technologies, on October 22, 2010, launched an initiative under the aegis of its ‘Ready Engineer’ program to impart voluntary classroom based, industry-focused engineering training to a group of select students from the Indira College of Engineering and Management at Pune. The Tata Technologies’ Corporate Sustainability Program (CSP) has identified technical education as a core agenda. The company aims to meet the engineering industry’s demand for employable engineers and bridge the industry institute gap with direct intervention. Ready Engineer – the Tata Technologies program to train engineers – would work by identifying meritorious 3rd and 4th year Engineering students in respective engineering colleges in India to go through special 40 hours of classroom by their expert engineers and online training on its proprietary software i GET IT™.

Ed Doctor, Tata Technologies PLM Services Manager: "I started riding for Make-A-Wish seven years ago. Over the years our team of seven has grown to over 125 riders. We hold various fundraisers throughout the year, the biggest being our very own “Tour de Taylor” bike ride. This was our first year staging the "TdT" and to our surprise we drew close to 400 riders. Over the years Team Taylor has spread the word about Make-A-Wish and bringing a few days of joy to a group of kids who can really use it and raising over $500,000.
Our Mission: Make-A-Wish Michigan grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
Since 1984, Make-A-Wish Michigan has granted wishes to more than 7,000 special children in Michigan. Of each dollar spent, 80 cents goes directly to granting wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions. Funding comes from individual contributors, special events, corporate donations and sponsorships, foundation grants, workplace giving programs and planned gifts. These wishes would not be realized without the dedication and support of the volunteers, donors, and staff, as well as exceptional leadership from the Board of Directors. For more information download the Michigan Chapter Fact Sheet. To learn more about Make a Wish and to support its efforts, visit: Make a Wish Michigan
